To power your custom AI chatbot, you’ll need to create and connect your own ChatGPT (OpenAI) account.
Why? Simple — this means you retain full ownership and control over your chatbot’s usage, data, and costs.
ChatGPT uses something called tokens to calculate usage (tokens are just little chunks of text – roughly 1–2 tokens per word). Every time your chatbot answers a question or responds to a user, it uses a few tokens.
The good news? Most day-to-day customer queries use very little – so for typical websites, the ongoing running costs are usually super affordable (think small monthly usage fees billed directly through your OpenAI account).
And of course, I’ll guide you through setting this up and make it as simple as possible.
