Branding & Identity · Wollongong
A brand is more than a logo. It’s the strategy behind it – your values, your voice, your positioning, and the story that makes people think “yes, that’s exactly them.” The visual identity is how all of that comes to life – logo, colour, typography, and the consistent look that carries across everything you put out into the world.

Find the right level for your brand
Whichever level fits, the result is the same: a brand that genuinely reflects you and works hard for your business. Not sure which is right? Let’s talk it through.
A distinctive logo built around your brand, with one to three concepts and primary plus alternate versions. Includes a basic colour palette, type selection, and simple usage notes, two refinement rounds, and a full file pack. The right starting point if you need a solid mark without the full system.
Everything in the logo, plus an extended palette, a type system, and key graphics – all built around your values. Includes a mood board, three concepts, a guidelines document, and business card design, with three refinement rounds and files ready for print and digital. The level most growing businesses need for real consistency.
A full identity built with strategy woven through – logo suite, comprehensive style guide, custom icons and patterns, and social templates. Includes a discovery session, stationery suite, and website asset prep. Built for businesses scaling up, where every touchpoint needs to connect.
PRICING
Here are the indicative costs for my branding and identity services – straight from the studio, no middlemen, and true to what I actually charge. These give you a clear starting point, and every quote is tailored once I know your exact needs.
The table gives you a solid starting point, but every brand is different – some need a little less, others a bit more. If nothing here fits exactly, tell me what you’ve got in mind and I’ll put together a tailored quote.
HOW I DELIVER
Every brand I create starts with understanding yours – your values, your audience, and what you’re really trying to achieve. From there I shape an identity that blends genuine creativity with clear strategy, built specifically for you. I handle every stage myself, from first concept to final files, working with businesses across Australia and beyond.
I get to know your brand from every angle until the right direction becomes clear. Connection with your audience often comes from unexpected places, so this stage is about digging properly before anything is designed.
Once we’ve explored the ground, we lock in the brief together. Getting this right up front is what saves you time and money later – the work starts aimed in the right direction, not chasing it.
This is where the thinking becomes something you can see. I’ll bring you ideas with intent – and if there’s a bolder move that helps you connect with your audience, I’ll put it on the table.
There’s always a bit of back and forth, and I welcome it. Honest feedback leads to better work. We shape it together until it feels exactly right.
Pull off the covers, buff it to a sheen, and get it out into the world – delivered properly, in every format you’ll need.

The best way to know if I’m the right fit is to hear from people I’ve worked with. These reviews come directly from Google – real clients, real projects, real results.
FAQ
These are the ten questions I get asked most about branding and identity. Straight answers, no waffle – just honest information so you can decide if I’m the right fit.
Branding and Identity are connected, but they’re not the same thing.
Branding is the strategy underneath everything – your values, your positioning, your voice, the story behind why your business exists and who it’s for. It’s internal first. It’s the thinking that has to happen before anything gets designed.
Identity is how that thinking becomes visible. It’s the logo, the colours, the typography, the tone you use, the way you show up everywhere from your website to your packaging. Identity is the expression of the brand.
Put simply – your brand is who you are. Your identity is how that comes across.
You can have a striking identity sitting on top of a brand that has no real clarity – a great-looking logo that doesn’t actually mean anything. Or you can have a brand with genuine clarity let down by a weak identity – good thinking, poorly communicated. Neither works on its own.
I start with the branding – the strategy, the positioning, the why – then build the identity to genuinely reflect it. That’s the order that makes the work last.
Your logo is often the first thing people see – and first impressions are fast. Within seconds, people are forming an opinion about your business based on what they’re looking at. A strong logo says you’re credible, considered, and worth their time. A weak one quietly undermines everything else you do.
More practically, your logo appears everywhere. Your website, your signage, your invoices, your packaging, your social profiles, your email signature. It needs to work at 16px and at 3 metres wide. It needs to work in colour and in black and white. It needs to hold up for years, not just look good right now.
Good logo design isn’t about following trends. It’s about understanding your brand deeply enough to distil it into a mark that’s distinctly yours – simple enough to be memorable, strong enough to last. That’s the standard I work to.
Simplicity is the thing most people underestimate. The logos that endure – the ones you can draw from memory – are almost always built on a simple, clear idea executed with confidence. Complexity is easy. Simplicity is hard.
Beyond that, an effective logo needs to:
I’ve been doing this for over 25 years. The brief always starts with why – not what. Get the strategy right, and the visual solution tends to follow.
Every branding project I take on follows the same five-stage process – and it starts well before any design work begins.
The whole process is direct. You talk to me, not a project manager. I design your brand, not a junior who hands it to a senior for approval.
You’ll receive a comprehensive master file pack covering every format you’re likely to need – now and in the future.
Vector files (AI and/or EPS) are the master files. They’re infinitely scalable – your logo can go on a business card or a billboard without any loss of quality. These are the files your printer will want.
Every logo comes in its full colour version, a reversed (white/light) version for dark backgrounds, and a monochrome version. These aren’t optional extras – they’re standard. A logo that only works in one configuration isn’t complete.
If you need anything beyond the standard pack – specific file formats for particular suppliers or platforms – just ask.
Honestly? It depends on the scope and how smoothly the feedback rounds go – but here’s a realistic picture.
For a Logo Starter project, you’re typically looking at one to two weeks from briefing to final files, assuming reasonable feedback turnaround on your end.
A Brand Builder – full logo suite, extended palette, typography system, business card, brand guidelines – is more like three to four weeks. There’s more to develop, and more to get right.
The ID Powerhouse, which includes a discovery session, comprehensive brand guidelines, stationery suite, and marketing templates, runs four to six weeks. That’s not a long time for something you’ll be using for years.
The stages that affect timeline most are the Discover and Define phases at the start – rushing these is the most common reason projects stall later. Get the brief right up front and the design work tends to flow. I’d rather take an extra few days getting the foundation solid than rush to concepts and spend weeks correcting course.
If you have a hard deadline – a launch, an event, a product release – tell me upfront and I’ll build the timeline around it.
Then we talk about it. That’s exactly what the Refine stage is for.
I don’t present work and defend it. I present work, explain the thinking behind each direction, and then listen. Your feedback is part of the process, not an inconvenience to it.
That said, there’s a difference between “this doesn’t feel right” and “I’d like it in a different colour.” Both are valid, but they’re different conversations. The more specific your feedback, the more efficiently we can get to something you love. I’ll always help you articulate what’s working and what isn’t if you’re not sure how to describe it.
All packages include refinement rounds. The Logo Starter includes two. The Brand Builder includes three. The ID Powerhouse allows for more extensive iteration.
One thing I’ll say plainly: the Discover and Define stages at the start exist precisely to reduce the chance of a concept miss. When I understand your brand well before designing, the first round of concepts tends to land in the right territory. Not always perfect – but directionally right. That’s what a thorough brief buys you.
It depends on what you actually need – and I’d rather give you a straight answer than a vague “it varies.”
Here’s how my branding work is structured:
Every quote is tailored once we’ve talked through your specific needs. Some projects need a little less, some need more. The figures above are honest starting points – not bait-and-switch minimums.
What I don’t do is charge agency rates with junior delivery. You’re working directly with me, start to finish.
Yes. Full ownership passes to you on final payment. The master files – vectors, all formats, all variations – are yours.
This is worth being clear about because not all designers or agencies operate this way. Some retain the working files and charge for future access or edits. I don’t work like that. Once a project is complete and paid, you have everything.
That means you can take your files to any printer, any other designer, any platform – without coming back to me for permission or access. You’re not locked in. You have what you paid for.
One practical note: I’d recommend storing your master files somewhere safe and backed up. A cloud folder you control, not just an email thread. Losing your original vector files means rebuilding from scratch if something goes wrong down the track – and that costs time and money.
The easiest way is to reach out directly – head to my contact page and drop me a line. Tell me a little about your business, where you’re at, and what you’re trying to achieve. I’ll come back to you personally and we’ll take it from there.
If you’d prefer to hit the ground running, the brand questionnaire on my site is a great starting point. It takes about ten minutes, covers your goals, your audience, and the feel you’re after – and once it comes through to me, I’ll follow up with a considered response based on what you’ve shared.
Either way works. There’s no wrong door.
I work with clients across Australia and internationally from my base in Wollongong. Everything is handled remotely as standard – calls, screen shares, file delivery. Location has never been a barrier.
Tell me about your brand
The best place to start is the brand questionnaire. It takes about ten minutes and digs into your story, your goals, and the feel you’re after – so by the time we talk, I already understand where you’re headed. Fill it in and I’ll come back to you with a considered response.
